Wisdom from Lincoln
At Mass this weekend my pastor told a
very important and timely story. It
seems that during the Civil War a certain general asked President Lincoln to
pray that God would be on their side.
“I’m not as concerned,” replied the
President, “that God is on our side as I am that we are on His.”
It’s a lesson we should all take to
heart this election season.
